Congratulations to the new Directors of the IBOAI Board: Howie Danzik, Jim Dornan, Jody Dutt, Kumar, Steve Woods, and Dan Yuen. Their terms will run from January 1, 2008, until December 31, 2010. Howie, Jim, Jody, Kumar, Steve, and Dan replace the Directors whose terms are set to expire at the end of 2007.
Beginning January 1, 2008, new Officers serving your Board will be Bill Hawkins, Chairman and Bob Andrews, Vice Chairman. We also welcome Jim Janz as a new member of the Governance and Oversight Committee.
The IBOAI and Quixtar signed a new contract reaffirming our close working relationship, as announced earlier on our IBOAI blog. A renewed commitment to working harder together is already evident in current Board Meetings with the Corporation. We are excited about a great year ahead!
Thank you and congratulations to the new board members!
We appreciate your integrity and willingness to serve.
We look forward to your valuable insight and leadership, as always!
Sincerely,
Ros

Hi!
I have a question: Do the members of the Board receive a salary for serving? And if so, how much ($$) is the salary for each of Board members?
Thanks!
[Moderator: No.]

I'm confused. Not that I have an objection, but Steve Woods was not on the ballot, so how did he get elected?
[Moderator: Board members are elected as follows:
Field-elected ---- All currently Qualified Platinum's throughout North America receive a ballot and vote for three candidates (currently Qualified Diamonds).
Board-elected ---- All currently serving Field-elected Board members elect three more Directors from a ballot prepared after the results of the Field election. Input on the list of candidates comes from Quixtar to provide balance and equal representation. All candidates must be currently Qualified Diamonds. The final ballot is approved by the current Executive Committee.
Field-elected to begin their 3 year term January 1, 2008 were Jim Dornan, Shivaram Kumar and Dan Yuen
Board-elected to begin their 3 year term January 1, 2008 were Howie Danzik, Jody Dutt and Steve Woods]

What kind of compensation do they receive for board service? Perhaps the other person did not ask the question apppropriately for a board level position.
Paid per meeting?
Expenses only?
etc...

I think what Bridgett was meaning to ask was.
What form of compensation does the board members receive for their service and how much? What are details? Board members are typically not paid a salary but have income related to board service.
