THERE IS an even more interesting article at Information Week published online about an hour after the Forbes article.

To get to it quickly, google "Amway Parent Catches iPhone Fever."

Amazing the difference in two perspectives. :)

I just read the article at Forbes and I thought it was interesting. It appears that the people at Forbes did a good job of figuring out what was really going on with Woodward.

Whether he was terminated or quit, he is gone and that is a good thing for all of us!

The iPhone article is very exciting and true to our business which is moving forward, onward and upward!
Where can I sign up for this pilot project?
There was also a great story on wood tv in Grand Rapids yesterday and features Doug Devos. It's great to see the people that we are associated with being recognized for some of the many positive things they do!

Awesome. Much appreciated. :)

I like what they had to say. The truth is, you have to retail to make money, and the truth is, if you get 20-30 good buying customers, the law of compounding states that you can make good money, $1000 or more based on bonus and retail markup. It's just math.

If folks don't retail, you can't get these numbers. No wonder so many folks look at Amway, MonaVie, Avon, Mary Kay, Xango, and all these others as just recruting schemes. The point is, and I am not stating these other companies can even do what Amway Global has done (because they cannot copy an original), that the perception of any person these days that doesn't understand business will automatically assume that you're just like their broke Uncle, who joined that "thing" that "didn't do anything" and went under within the first few years.

The whole article about selling motivational tools and how much they make, just really makes me pitty the folks that have to buy that stuff from Orrin. I make money, I buy tools as necessary, and I take that knowledge and progress. But I certainly do not over buy my share of support materials.

Also, he just seems like he's into bashing the successful leaders. I couldn't follow a person like that, and I don't know how those folks can either.

I went and read it at the store. It is amazing how the truth is always found out. The reason that Woodward is building his business is shown through the article. Forbes was able to figure out that no matter what business his "team" is involved in he will always make money because he makes money on the system of books and cds.
Now that he and many others are gone that gave Amway a bad name, we can get focused of what we are in business for: Helping people lead better lives and helping them make money!
YAY!!!

For those who have been watching closely, it appears that Amway has replied to the Forbes article (if I can put it that way), but in its own unique and highly effective way. We've posted on this over at Speaking of Amway, July 29th.

While I think the Forbes article had a generally negative tone and definitely biased against mlm's in general, it is good news that Amway Global is taking steps to do what's right for all IBO's!

You can't post a link without Forbes permission? Give me a break!
